For school communicators and administrators, staying on top of the many holidays, events, appreciation days, weekly celebrations, and other annual special occasions can be quite a task. In my high school leadership class, we add these kindness holidays and staff appreciation dates directly to our classroom calendar so we remember to recognize all of these important people.

Today, teacher appreciation week is celebrated annually during the first full week of may, with teacher appreciation day falling on the tuesday of that week.
